 Cellular Respiration & Relaxation 

Lack of oxygen in the cells is a major challenge in today’s living. Reduced oxygen reduces the metabolism in the cells thereby causing fatigue. Improper combustion of carbs in the cells also increases the toxins in the cell which is very akin to soot formation. There are two reasons for the lack of oxygen. Firstly due to heavy pollution, there is a low concentration of oxygen in the atmosphere today. Secondly, stress causes shallow breathing which reduces the intake of oxygen. For thousands of years, Himalayan Yogis have been practising meditation. This meditation is preceded by cleansing practices, yoga postures, yoga nidra and pranayama. Yoga Nidra and relaxation techniques ensure that the cells are relaxed. This ensures that the cell walls are flexible to absorb both nutrients and oxygen.
